Kitted Out

Eric would like to thank his colleagues from Targeted Youth Support team for their support toward him going on the trip, many who donated football tops, Tom Kirman, Sue Brunt, Stephen Woodward, Simon Dodge, Paul Usher. Also Carly Willingham who donated the whole team kit.
The trip was a success, I helped with decorating classrooms and interacting with the children at school and in public and I enjoyed getting involved in outreach work to engage those that cannot access school due to location or due to finances. I thought it great that strangers would go to a community and offer education to those who would only dream about going to school. Hundreds of children have been and are being helped by this work, however more help/work is needed, we need funding to rebuild part of the school. I have committed myself to this cause and will be taking part in a sponsored climb up Ben Nevis, to help raise money for this.
“My vision in life is to reach out to as many young people as possible and make a difference. The training and skills gained from LCC is now benefiting kids in Africa and I’m grateful and blessed with that.” Eric Kasi
“It was great to experience the Gambian lifestyle and be a part of the work in the schools, spending time with the children being a highlight. For me, it was great to see the contrast of the admin side of things to a British school and to help a little in that area.
We especially enjoyed the trip to Roots Village to gain an understanding first hand of the history of the country. We also valued the time that Eric and I spent together as a couple in the beautiful setting near the beach.” Becky Kasi
