140 Cycle Challenge

There have been a series of sponsorship fund raising challenges over the past years which have been fantastic in boosting the finances of the work.  Most of these have been spearheaded by the intrepid, energetic, inspiring Anne Waghorne. They include climbing Ben Nevis, the Three Peaks, cycling coast to coast, organising the cycle ride around The Gambia amongst other things.

The next big challenge is in May`18 when cyclists of all ages and abilities will have the opportunity of taking part in a fun filled exciting weekend, at the same time reaching those fitness goals!

Anne writes

This challenge is for any level of fitness and a great opportunity to come together with people who have a passion for the work of the New Life Children`s Centres. We shall be leaving Everyday Champions Centre in Newark early Saturday and cycling to ECC in Wellingborough  where we`ll enjoy a curry evening and a stay overnight in a hotel,

On the Sunday it`s off to London meeting up on Hampstead Heath before travelling back on a coach to Newark.

We are using a company called Rode Cycles run by Andy Swain who supports cycle tours from a safety aspect. The challenge is completely flexible in that it can be done in one day, over the period of the two days or if preferred one section rather than the two. The cost is affordable at £85 which covers absolutely everything including the delicious refreshments provided by Ken and Sylvia along the route.

Why not join us and have an incredible weekend ,at the same time helping raise money for the third storey at Half Dye and the land we want to buy?

Please contact me on 07929 982618.

I would love to hear from you.
