Nelson Mandela once said :- Education is the most powerful weapon which
you can use to change the world.
Through our sponsorship programme we have the wonderful opportunity to help change the world
of a child. For more than 30 years New Life has sought to do just that and all these generations later
we are seeing the fruits of our labour. Thousands of children have passed through our schools and
have become successful in a whole variety of fields and they are continuing to do so.
Over the years we have put around thirty young people through colleges to train them as teachers and many of
these are working for New Life today. New Life has been a family to the children and has through the
years offered stability, structure and self -esteem to many who live in the poorest of circumstances.
You can instantly see the change come over a child when he/she wears their school uniform for the
first time. There is a real sense of pride, but not only from the child. The parents know that there will
be better days ahead for their little ones and more opportunities than they ever had.
Statistics tell us that education can cut poverty in half! At New Life we are committed to offering an
excellent level of education and promoting opportunities for all. We want to see more and more
families brought out from the poverty trap and our aim is to break its cycle. Through our sponsorship
programme we are seeing this become a reality.
