Birdwatching in The Gambia

David, a keen birdwatcher, went on a short trip whilst over in The Gambia with a local birdwatching
guide named Bax. He records….Bax was a friendly and interesting guy, who would often whistle the
calls of certain birds to bring them out into the open. My highlight would have to be seeing the
colourful bee-eaters and the acrobatic pied kingfishers feeding in the river. During two hours we saw
an incredible 37 different types of birds, making it very difficult at times to keep up! My friends and I
were blown away with the bird life in The Gambia. I would highly recommend the experience.
